Stuffing ingredients and recipe

On Tuesday November 26, Dinah Pearson joined other Hungry for Health workshop leaders to guide a group of young adults through the process of making a “delish” stuffing (Southern Style) to accompany a frozen turkey provided to them through the KYI Hungry for Health program. Thank you Dinah!

This program is provided to young adults, 18 and up, through grants provided by WalMart and United Way and coordinated by Ketchikan Youth Initiatives.  The goal is to encourage healthy eating habits on a limited budget.  The cooking sessions are being held at the First Lutheran Church.

The workshop “grads”’ are planning another session for December to make Christmas goodies, maybe a gingerbread teepee?  Another Hungry for Health series will begin in late January.  Pass the word and reserve your space…we can  accommodate only 15 in the cooking classes.  Call or text 617-5990.
